The Penalty Specialist: He recorded an astronomical 150 career penalty saves, a statistical outlier that remains the highest in professional football history.
Elite Progressive Carrying: He pioneered "The Counter-Attack Throw," averaging 12 long-distance distributions per match that bypassed the entire midfield.
The Area Command: He maintained a 95% success rate on aerial claims, revolutionizing the goalkeeper position by leaving his line to intercept crosses.
High-Value Chance Creation: He recorded over 270 career clean sheets, proving that defensive efficiency could outweigh offensive production for the Ballon d'Or.
The Big Game Player: During the 1963 season, he conceded only 6 goals in 27 games, an efficiency ratio of 0.22 goals per match.
