Spanish football has enjoyed a brilliant season on all fronts, to such an extent that the various categories of the 2026 Ballon d'Or all feature Spanish representatives amongst their nominees.

In total, there will be no fewer than 26 Spanish nominations spread across all the awards at the ceremony. A record figure that cements this moment of absolute glory.

Without going any further, the ‘red and yellow’ contingent will take centre stage in both the main awards.

To be more precise, six Spanish men were nominated for the Men’s Ballon d'Or, whilst six Spanish women were nominated for the Women’s Ballon d'Or.

In fact, some Spanish footballers have been nominated for two different trophies at the same ceremony.
