Kevin Keegan has left us. A two-time Ballon d'Or winner, back-to-back in 1978 and 1979, the legendary striker passed away this Monday, at 75, as announced by his family. "The former England player and manager had been battling cancer and was surrounded by his wife and daughters in his final moments."

One of the most talented forwards of his generation, Kevin Keegan notably won the European Cup in 1977 with Liverpool, before moving to Hamburg, where he won his two Ballons d'Or. Also enjoying great spells at Southampton and Newcastle, "King Kev" also scored 21 goals in 63 caps for England, whom he later managed between 1999 and 2000.

Kevin Keegan also managed Newcastle (1992-1997), guiding them to a runner-up finish in the Premier League in 1996. He had also managed Fulham and Manchester City.

His legacy is eternal. Our thoughts are with his family and loved ones.
