Club of the Season Trophy Regulations

Article 1. The Men's Club of the Season and Women's Club of the Season Trophies are organized every year by the monthly magazine France Football.

Article 2. They reward the best men's club and the best women's club, regardless of league.

Article 3. The reference period covers the entirety of last season, from August 3, 2025 to July 19, 2026.

Article 4. The Club of the Season Trophies are awarded based on several criteria to be considered as a whole, such as: the quality of play, titles won, memorable victories, results exceeding expectations, respect and fair play.

Article 5. The Club of the Season Trophies are awarded by an international jury of specialized journalists: the men's Ballon d'Or jury for the men's club, and the women's Ballon d'Or jury for the women's club.

Article 6. Each juror names two clubs in descending order of merit from a list of five nominees, drawn up by the France Football editorial staff, members of the L'Équipe editorial staff, at least one juror from the previous edition, as well as UEFA ambassadors Luis Figo and Fabio Capello for the men's club and Nadine Kessler for the women's club.

Article 7. The two clubs named are awarded 2 and 1 points respectively. The trophy is awarded to the club with the highest total number of points.

Article 8. In the event of a tie, clubs are separated by the number of first-place mentions. Then by the number of players from the club (before transfers during the summer transfer window) named on the Ballon d'Or lists. If the tie persists, it will be settled by the France Football editorial management.

Article 9. Any dispute is settled by the Editor-in-Chief of France Football as organizer.
